For the eighth year in a row, Hyundai is ranked No. 1 in the automotive industry in New York-based Brand Keys’ Customer Loyalty Engagement Index. The survey also mentioned Ford as a leading automaker in that regard.
“In an industry that is more competitive than ever, Hyundai continues to exceed customer expectations with vehicles, technologies and customer engagement that make things better,” said Dean Evans, CMO, Hyundai Motor America. “Maintaining loyalty is one of the toughest things to do and receiving this recognition eight years in a row shows how we are building a deeper and more emotional connection with our customers. We continue to work hard every day to maintain the loyalty we’ve built and encourage customers to return to the Hyundai brand.”
2018 model updates
A reason why customers keep returning to Hyundai, beyond sophisticated products offering great value and coverage, is the constant updates made to its various cars and SUVs. That doesn’t change for 2018.
In addition to the 2018 Hyundai Sonata, which we covered following its North American launch at the New York Auto Show and is scheduled to arrive at Canadian dealerships this summer, the 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport and Santa Fe XL receive their share of updates, including a standard 7” display audio system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, plus premium wood finish trim on leather-equipped models.
What’s more, the Blue Link telematics and assistance service (the equivalent of GM’s OnStar) will finally come to Canada and first be available on Hyundai’s 2018 Elantra GT and 2018 Sonata. Free for five years at the time of purchase, it will eventually become a standard or optional feature on every vehicle in the Hyundai fleet.
